WAYA is a Colombian brand of backpacks and handcrafted wallets, inspired by the legacy of the ancestral and colorful traditions of the Wayuu culture. Through our modern designs and our philosophy of handmade work by indigenous women, people of the Guajira, we create the perfect synergy between craftsmanship and luxury resulting in unique and timeless pieces that express each woman's personality.
We feel identified with telling stories through the fabric, so our main subject has always been the crochet thread, present in the history of this community, intertwined with other materials such as fique, threads in the silkiest textures and very subtle details with golden bath.
WAYA’s pieces have been sold in Colombia for over 3 years and are already exported to a handful of countries in the world, including the United States, Panama and Mexico.
